Then explore the surroundings with a beautiful bike ride. Afterwards, we begin the cooking workshop where you prepare your own dishes over an open fire.

PROGRAM
10:00 am – Coffee/ tea with a treat
This delightful outdoor day starts with coffee/tea and a treat. In our cozy restaurant about 300 meters from the historic village center and near a large parking lot. Here you will also receive a packed lunch.
10:45 am – Boat tour Giethoorn
Discover Giethoorn and surroundings from the water. A 1-hour boat tour, accompanied by a skipper and guide, through the historic village center of charming Giethoorn with its thatched roofs, narrow canals, and high bridges.
11:45 am – Bike ride
The bikes are ready for a beautiful ride in the surroundings. Various cycling routes are available, but you can also use, for example, the ANWB Cycling Node Planner.
3:30 pm – Cooking workshop including 4-course dinner
An adventurous and tasty cooking workshop outdoors. The cooking workshop is given in a fun, accessible, and welcoming way. On one side you have views of passing boats, on the other side the Weerribben-Wieden National Park.
The focus of this approximately four-hour cooking workshop is cooking with Dutch Ovens. You will get to know different types of cast iron pans and learn the technique of cooking on a wood fire and with briquettes.
In groups, you will prepare a delicious meal. Each group cooks one or two dishes so we get a complete menu with a starter, main course, and dessert. We end the cooking workshop around 7:00 pm with coffee, tea, and cake from the fire.
The cooking workshop includes coffee, tea, and soft drinks.
